This is a shot from a calendar I have helped out with this year. Miss April. The one in the calendar is colour though and a slightly different shot...

...she's the flag girl waiting to start the race. And with a bit of trickery it's her driving both cars too

Available here...

I like it! Got to say though, I can't see the beetle winning that race...

You'd be suprised there are street legal bugs in the 9s now

I really enjoyed doing this shoot, I'd like to work with more models, anyone know a good place to recruit TFP/TFCD models?

The model in this photo was Chloe, all the models are users of a VW forum that I'm on who agreed to pose for charity. I took this shot with her for April but the the other months were taken by other photographers as the users were all over the country. I came up with the race concept and Chloe found some suitable clothes for the part. We met up at Thurrock early on a Sunday morning and used Ikea car park as I wanted pretty much just road and sky for the shot. I had to remove a fair few lamp posts and signs from the shot afterwards. I set up the tripod and shot her driving each car too then merged the three pictures. I'm quite happy with the results.

I know alot of Hot Rod, American Classic and Aircooled VW owners around South London so have a plentyful supply of cars on tap but would like to hook up with some more models to take some more classic pin up shots like this
