I need to get to BTaP this year, and whilst the bike is fun, Its not conducive to a happy passenger..
Looking at getting something from www.bespokes.co.uk/, but as with any premier hire place, am weary of being 'stung' for a few stonechips (Especially given I'm in convoy with Jason in the GT and Tony_996_destroys_windscreens)
Can anyone who's used www.bespokes.co.uk/ let me know their opinions on the service, specificially, did you get stung on your excess.
Obviously email me any -ve comments via profile.
Also, if anyone has any other places who deliver / collect to docklands, London that they've USED and would recommend, do let me know.
Thanks
J

I used Bespokes & The TVR Centre to hire a Griff before I bought mine.
No nasty shocks from either when the cars were returned - but beware of mileage limitations, anything over the agreed limit will cost you dearly.
Im not sure the TVR Centre hire cars anymore - so its Bespokes or someone like the Classic Car Club for something different.
Good luck & see you at BT&P

Had Bespokes' 911 Targa for 24 hours earlier in the year. Obviously down at their "low end". No nasty surprises - got extra mileage allowance (and used it all apart from about 2 miles
).
Scariest thing was when filling it up some idiot had crossed the fuel nozzle pipes over and the diesel nozzle got caught and fell within about 2 inches of the side of the car

I used Bespokes for a Tuscan and they did the drop-off in a hotel in Watford for me - good comprehensive handover and I left the car back at the hotel and the keys with the hotel Manager. No trouble with the insurance excess but having a £2000 excess hanging over your head does focus the mind somewhat! I was concerned about being stung as this was a bit of a scam a few years ago but Bespokes seem very fair and really helpful through the whole hire process - you could take some before and after piccies just in case.
I hired a Griffith 500 for the weekend back in 1999 from Bespokes.
No problem with the car or the service and would recommend them. As has been aid though, DO go round the car and not every little mark - also note the wheels and any marks.
Think my excess was £1000 in those days. I think if they were looking to rip people off re the insurance excess, word would soon spread and they wouldn't have the reputation they have which is a good one I think.
300 miles was the limit I think - is it still the same? Think I did about 500 - but heck, who's counting!
I will always remember leaving their place and then joining the M25 a few miles on ... and also the silver BMW on the A14 that disappeared in the rear view mirror in no time ... ha ha
What d'ya fancy?

I rented a Tuscan from Bespokes for a couple of days, about 2 years ago - my booking was postponed twice due to (a) bloke losing control of it outside Harrods and sticking it into a railing, and (b) engine problems requiring trip to garage. When I eventually got the car, they let me had some additional miles for free.
Very positive experience from them overall - and the car was fantastic too.
