Part Exchange Options

Just a question but has anyone ever managed to part-ex their Ultima with car dealership?

We own the worlds fastest "Production" car but they are not recognised as such in the car world.

I'd doubt if you would ever get a p/ex on a regular production car as the trade never like pricing something that is not in Glass's Guide.
You might get a dealer to sell on your behalf though, as a nice shiny well presented Ultima sitting in their showroom could be a good way of impressing the punters.

I gave my motorbike to a dealer and he sold it for me. He kept a portion of it for himself but that was OK since I got what I wanted out of it.

Try finding a specialist car showroom with someone willing to do that and you may have a better chance of finding someone who can afford to buy these types of cars.

I think I saw an ultima in autotrader which was being sold through a showroom (it did look like yours though hmmmm).

I am aware that specialist cars in malton took a GTR in part exch about 18 mths ago. They generally deal in porsche.

I have heard quite a few people say "wow, I'd swap my left nut for one of those"

When I was selling mine I got a trade bid on it. It was £7,000 below the price I ultimately sold the car for.

Dealers will buy any car ... if the price is right.

I've had a couple of dealers off SoR for the car at a % rate off final sale but I'm happy for the car to sit at my house so I can drive it when the sun finally comes out.

It just makes the Production status somewhat of a loose term, do Caterham guys suffer the same???

...or it might make them afraid to lose sales of their new sports-cars, as some people who only want a new car pass up their sports-cars and order from The Factory.
