There is a HUGE fire in a scrap yard in an area called Alder hills. This has taken out all the main overhead power lines and Bournemouth is blacked out. The radio says over 75,000 houses blacked out.

Unfortunatly we have a fuly functioning UPS so we are carying on (poo)

Yep lost power this morning but back up now.

The uni seems to have a backup generator or something as my lecture was on this morning.

My shower was cold at 9:30 this morning!

Didn't get power back at work till 4.30pm. Driving home was eerie in places as there were no street lights or traffic lights
