john, you must take it to a garage - internet forums are not very good fault diagnosis engines when it comes to running problems; we can't see the car and your details aren't that detailed. Remember, there are dozens of electrical sensors, plus areas of the HT system (plugs, leads etc.) that could caused hesitation or misfires.
Sorry I can't be of more help. If anyone has a further suggestion I'm sure they'll pipe up.

hi thanks for the reply. i am a hgv fitter ive checked leads and rotor arm and coil.when its running badley i have a realy short burn time on all 4 cylinders .i think its a wiring fault but im not sure.
Hi,
Suggest you book it into our workshops to get it properly examined and diagnosed.
Before you do, check the following:
DME Relay - ensure it's OK (a replacement is only £18.95 from www.promaxmotorsport.com ).
Fuel pressure at rail - should be 2.5bar at idle with vacuum line disconnected.
Fuel pump and Fuel Filter (at rear) are OK.
All vacuum lines in the correct place. Fuel Pressure Damper and Fuel Pressure Regulator have vacuum feeds (pressure feeds also).
AFM (Air Flow Meter) is operating correctly and giving correct voltage (+ flap is not jammed or stiff).
TPS (Throttle Position Switch) is operating - should get 2 clicks. Closing throttle and wide open throttle.
Air cleaner - not clogged or very dirty.
Cold Start Valve not jammed sending cold signal to ECU.
Car is making boost (it is a turbo?).
Fuel Injectors - poor spray pattern or wiring suspect.
Just a few things to be going on with. Get in touch if you need help. 01908 524468
Regards,
Andrew
