One shines on the mirror, another shines forward of the drivers door handle (inside). Anyone know what they do?

The one on top is a courtesy light, so you can see where the interior light switches are and to show you the rear view mirror for adjustment before you drive. Door one lights up the ignition key hole. All common sense.
