New M400 vs M14
Discussion
probably a stupid question!
But currently running a 3R from new, not sure where to go next, need to avoid Porsche etc so choice probably between Noble products.
Having seen the M14 mule? at Silverstone outside the garge at the 24 hour Britcar event and also the race car itself, seems an eminently sensible choice to go for longitudinal engine plus two side pod intercoolers running at 400 (or possibly more[ 3.5litre]) bhp vs M400 lateral engine plus single (compromised) intercooler running at 425bhp. I know they are likely to be aimed at very different markets but any views on where to go (apart from moving South)?
ps I love the single minded approach to driving in the M12, don't care about the Ford bits etc.

Mosler MT900 - £99k mmmmmmm
I too am stuck in Noble land, its a very addictive place. Think I will end up in an M14 in a year or 2. Probably via an M400, when Washy wants to sell his........(like the colour scheme neil)
All the cars I used to really want are no longer in the running! GT3 may feature if I ever needed something a bit more practical.

Thanks for the help.
Sensible to wait to see/ understand the M14, vowed I wouldn't go "soft" (vs M12) but the design looks to be v appealing and the next iteration for Noble. (Actually would prefer the race car).
I've followed the Moslers through being at race meetings, love the idea and 3 months ago thought it might be the "next thing". But still think it's great to have such innovative British products, onlookers love Nobles, I don't think the Mosler would not have the same emotional impact. It's undoubtably a great drive and very reliable judging by the 24 hour Britcar result.
Just can't kick the Noble habit.

harrowgate...the M14 might look the dogs boll*cks there.
Mmmmm....I have an incling that the M14 will look the Mutt's nuts anywhere.
Martin.
PS - has anyone seen the Renault Megane in that Yellowy-Gold with a hint of Green? It'd make a great colour on the M14 for those with imagination...

Richard,
You're quite right: the M14 will occupy a very different market to the M400. As you'll have seen from the car we launched in Birmingham, it will target a broader audience by being a more practical proposition for everyday use. The car will have generous luggage space (outside of the cabin), a better equipped and more salubrious interior, and features that will make it easy to live with from day to day.
However, the car will still be very driver-focused, like every car we build. It will be almost as quick as the M400 (no mean feat!), but it will be its dynamic superior when it comes to dealing with public roads. It will also be easier to service and maintain, due to the new drivetrain configuration.
All this should not detract from the M400's prowess as one helluva fast, efficient road and occasional track-day machine. We'll continue making this model because it still represents one of the fastest point-to-point production cars on the market.
From a marketing perspective, these two models defy comparison (apart from the badge). Ask yourself what YOU need from a car on a daily basis and then decide which fits your remit the closest.
As always, I'm quite happy to have a chat with you about this anytime.

That Marcos will have to go! (Unless you want to sell me the Ur, of course?)
Martin.
I'm having a debate about the Ur. Currently it is refusing to start, so I'm slowly replacing most of the electrics once again.
But then saying that the planning permission is also in for our extension that turns the one car garage into a three car garage, so that'll be space for 5 cars once that's done
