I like the post processing you've done on the top and bottom ones, and the one in the other thread

Nice treatment, esp no. 3. Did you do it by crunching levels?

Really like this treatment.

Was only thinking earlier about some shots that would work with this sort of processing. Any tips or insights welcome?

(Just pop them, wrapped up in five pound notes, in the cap by the skinny looking whippet.....) -

Being brutally honest I'm very new to all this. just purchased my first Digital SLR camera which is a Konica Minolta Dynax 5D and went out Sunday wondering around. The treatment was just sitting down and fiddling with exposures / contrasts / shadows / white ballance until I got something that I liked the look of.
Maybe not ideal (One guy who's really into photography at work says they're still a little too dark but it was crap weather that day) but I've years of learning in me yet.
Here's a few more. Glad I'm not the only one who likes them.

Well done Krusty, you've got a good eye.

Yes, technically they're dark, but if that's the effect you want/like and you have only yourself to please, no problem. For your first day out with a DSLR, that's excellent.

Agreed - and any "rules" are only there to be broken, anyway....
