Headlight switch operation

I'm considering fitting non-factory switches (and have therefore not had factory rocker switches delivered), but am a little confused about the operation of the main beam. From what I can gather, the factory supply a rocker switch that operates both side lights (position 1) and headlights (position 2). I happen to have attached to my loom a 'dip switch' (push button, non latching) that I assume is the headlight main beam flasher. However, I don't see how you permanently switch on/off the main beam and can't see anything in the wiring diagram showing this. What have I missed ?

the push button turns the high beams on + off, I believe the relay they use is latching. The first click of the switch turns on the driving lights, second turns on the low beams. Hit the push button once the high beams come on, hit it again high beams turn off.

Relay 8 is the dip/high beam relay and is toggled by the dash pushbutton which is in fact an earth.
Relay 8 pin 56b Blue/Red goes to dip beams via fuse 6.
Relay 8 pin 56a Blue/White goes to high beams via relays 1 & 2.
Relay 1 does the high beam upper lamp units
Relay 2 does the high beam lower lamp units
Both of these are 30 amp fused.
