The bulb in my speedo doesn't work so I need to change it. I can feel the bulb holder in the back of the speedo case but wondered if anyone had removed it to change a bulb. Does it twist out/pull out. Im sure it can be changed without removing the instrument pod (Can't it?)

The pod is easily (!)removed by undoing two bolts each side underneath but.....

If you can get your head in the footwell, then you can look up and see the bulb holder. Twist it a quarter turn and it should just pull out. Standard capless bulb availvable from virtualy anywhere.

Hope that is some use to you.

The bulb is at the top of the speedo. easiest way is to take of the two wingnuts holding the pod in place, remove, and change it from there.

probably another inaccurate piece of potentially useless advice, but both my cerbs have run with dim speedos - was told by mechanic that this is the way they are. So, is yours dim, or just plain gone?

No not dim, not working. I have managed to do this now but nobody warned me about needing to be a contortionist. The bulb wasn't blown - just a bad connection, so it's working now.
All thats left to do is fix the tube back on for the cold air feed under the dash but I'll do it tomorrow.
The pod was extremely difficult to remove, I was afraid I was going to damage the leather with the bolts but I put some thin pieces of flat steel under them while trying to remove.
