How long does everyone's heated rear screen stay on? I push the button and it turns off around 100 seconds later (not timed it). I had to turn it on again 2 or 3 times to completely clear my rear screen this evening - worked OK, just turned off sooner than I expected.

Ditto - seems to stay on for about 1 min - need to do it about 3 times to clear the rear screen.

There is a button to switch the heaters on. There is the little left and right hand button and of course the large directional button. You should have a 4th one that whe you press it a red light comes on.

Not got leccy mirrors on my Tam, but thinking of modding the hood for a glass rear screen. Could someone post me a pic of the heated screen switch in their 350 please.

We're about to change the hood on Chan's MG Trophy to a heated glass rear screen, wonder what mods would be needed for the same replacement for the Tam, and..................are you sure you haven't got leccy mirrors??

Hi Chris
Thinking of reducing the width of rear screen to fit between the 2 struts & a 3/4 zip to fold the glass down into rear storage area before dropping the hood.
Not had an accurate quote yet but around £400 mark over the phone (for mohair- vynil would be cheaper).
You interested in one?
Maybe we could org. a group buy & get the price down.

I may be intersted, yes.
I have always thought that, if I come into a little more dosh (worked harder!), I would like to have the whole hood changed to one like the MGF's/MX5's, it would make the car slightly lighter and no more messing around in the boot when you need to take the hood off - rear screen would have to be glass though. As My Tam's garaged, it could more than get away with that.

I agree with the mx5 hood comments entirely. I could drop/ raise that hood inless than 4 secs, despite what VBH said the other night.
But that would mean a new frame to be designed - not cheap.
I was just thinking of replacing the existing material & plastic with mohair & glass on the same frame.
Hmm, I think I know where I could borrow a mx5 hood (mk2) for a few hours....
ps Good job she doesn't read PH
