Dunno if this host will surivive many downloads as I found it on another site, but heres a good comparison of the 430 to the some nice machines including the GT3.

new working links :

edit Broken old link : http://homepage.oniduo.pt/tjpp/f430.avi

Proof that Stuttgart horses pull harder perhaps? I would never have expected it to beat the 430 off the line when it was using launch control, and the power was fairly evenly matched.

Ok, we already knew how good the GT3 is, but its nice to see others agree

You can actually buy the full DVDs. Search for 'Best Motoring'. They have a DVD dedicated to the 996 Turbo which may be of interest. There are also plenty of these floating about on file sharing networks etc too.

I just love the Japs review styles as they tend to sling all these fabulous cars onto a circuit and race them.

Distributed in the UK by duke video. This one looks interesting :

Will see if I can't find it for less on amazon. 20 quid seems a lot...

edit : ok found it a place that stocks it at a fair price :

what suprised me about this video was how well the GT3 did on the 'straight'.
The commentary was going on about how the 430 had more straight line speed due to aerodynamics but failed to mention the 430's 100bhp advantage over the GT3

Also shocked at how slow the Gallardo was.

Surely this can't be right and must be taken with a large pinch of salt.
The Gallardo didn't seem to do too badly at VMax.

PHers - I had thought you lot had discovered Best Motoring years ago.

They have Gran Turismo style four lap shoot-outs (quickest car at the back) with some pretty Porsche focused machinery - 996 3.4s, 996 GT3, 996 Turbo, 997 C2 and C2S (with assorted Ferraris, Lambos, NSX-Rs and M3s thrown in for good measure).

When I get home, I shall try to post which title has what Porsche in.

£20 is steep I agree, but Duke Marketing are reliable and seem to get them pretty quickly.

Everything gets sodding blocked at my work.

Can anyone post the vid so I don't have to go via another site?
