t's always amusing to see where the continuity/props guys working on films
ck up.

Other than the famous Ben Hur/Digital Divers watch one, the only one that springs to mind for me is in the film 'Bad Boys' and the scene where Martin Lawrence first meets Tia Leone and she is swinging a baseball bat at him. He finally gets the bat from her, but in the very next scene the bat is on the floor next to Tia!!

C'mon - share your most anoraky observations

defintely a Friday thread!!!

At the end of the last episode of Dr. Who the doctor falls to the ground, and when he gets up again he's a totally different actor.

In Terminator 2 when John orders Arnie to stand on one foot you can see a black stool that he's resting his raised leg on.

There are millions of them, and plenty of web sites devoted to spotting them!

The geekiest one I spotted, was Terminator 2, when John Conner is telling the Governator to stand on 1 leg / beat people up etc. When they're passing the gun between each other, it goes from cocked, to 'safe'.

Most obvious one: Pearl Harbour. Bint gives American pilot a scarf to remember her by. Seconds later, he's walking away and it's gone

Was Tommy Cooper playing the part of the pilot?

Commando is full of them, wrecked targa on it's side, Arnie rights it, dents and paint scrapes all down one side, drives off perfect paintwork.

Hangs guy off cliff with "my weak arm" you're not kiding Arnie is that why you needed the cable clearly visible from the guys ankle?

Nearly. Ben Afleck. I'm sure Tommy Cooper would have done a much better job!

I find that any historical Mel Gibson film is one huge continuity error!

I hardly ever spot them, in fact i cant think of one off the top of my head but I like to go on www.imdb.com/ and look at the goofs section after i have watched a film.

Someone mentioned Commando. Here are the goofs for Commando, there a lots of them

In one of the desert scenes in Gladiator you can see a plane, complete with vapour trail, soaring over the distant hills.

Bond films are full of them but for some reason you don't notice. The most obvious one I recall is in The Living Daylights when Bond and Necros are fighting on the open rear deck of the Hercules and the propellors have failed, except when the plane is shot from the front, the rear deck isn't open and the engines are running at full throttle.

In Predator, where wotshisname gets his arm blown off, but you can blatently see that it's just stuck down his trousers.

In Diamonds are Forever, Bond drives his Mustang into an alley on two wheels, and exits on the other two. Skills.

Virtually every air combat movie like topgun has HUGE continuity mistakes, in fairness though, it's bloody hard to get it all right and flight time is mega expensive, no wonder it's all 3d these days. I've just put a movie myself and it's loaded with continuity errors but I just had to do the best I could with what footage I had, at least aerial combat is confusing enough that most people wont notice

Car chases are another one that ALWAYS have loads of continuity problems, car is scraped down one side then perfect in the next scene and so on.

Think of a movie, stick it into IMDB, go to 'Goofs'...
