Was up there today and in addition to the previously discussed white 993RS and a 959 I saw that the showroom now has another (9500 mile!) yellow 993RS for £63K. The yellow one has half the mileage of the white one and is £2k cheaper - a year earlier registration though.

They also have Chris Harris' (I think it's his) GT2 in there too.

Quite a collection.

Perhaps Clubsport would be interested in this one. Would you give them 60K for it, Paul?

The recent owner of the yellow rs,has now just purchased the white, or was it yellow 993gt2 that was briefly there for sale!
Going down to Bristol next Monday night to see the new 996/997 eater, the cayman launch, stig was suitably impressed by the new mid engined 911!!About time they made a fast&nimble car again

All very odd...as Vic says this does sound like the isle of man car that sold on the day I called about it...this was about 5 weeks ago.....curious to be changing so soon?????

Johnny for 60k with a porky warranty it wouldn't be such a bad deal....to be honest...though I would be driving it home cursing the leccy windows,,lazy-boy reclining sofas and airbags in a Rhd car...less enthusiastic than I could be to be fair mate..

Burzel, the Cayman S is on Topgear this sunday. Clarkson doesnt like it but then what does he know. it looked real nice, first one i had seen in the flesh. Just thought id let you now, will give you something to dream about the night before you see the OPC.

Thanks will dream tonight!
Its strange,i used to always stop by a opc to see what they had, dont bother much any more, unless there is a carrera gt in the window or similar,a sign of the times i suppose.so looking forward to some thing fresh, trying to talk my wife into, its a great car for shopping and a bit extra for me!So hopefully part ex her golf gttdi shopping car!!For xmas.
I do think the cayman might worry a few people,i think its going to be a promising car.
I hope i am right.

I agree the Cayman appears to have huge potential,,,once the upfront orders are delivered it will be interesting to see whether it is a cracker or if they need to put the marketing spin into operation for what is effectively a fixed head Boxta..????

feels a bit odd this discussing a Cayman on a thread with 993RS in the title

Yep - the Speedster is still there.

I spent a fair while looking at the 993RSs in detail while waiting on the parts chap. The yellow one really is wonderful (not that the white 'un isn't!) - the paintwork is noticeably slightly better than the white one but then it has a 10K mile advantage and to be honest I'm not sure they've both not been stonechip resprayed.

The Monday night Cayman event at Bristol OPC - ticket / invite only or can anyone turn up for a look?

I realised after I left that I didn't even notice the newer Porsches in the showroom other than a huge great Cayenne near the front window...;-)

It is invite only, but if you speak to them ,they will sort a ticket for you.If not give me a email,i should be able to sort for you.
Clubsport ,buy the yellow car,you will not regret it!Or the white for that matter. Its rare now that a couple of fresh cars come on the market, that are so good.I will have a good look at them monday night.
Just look what has happened to the gt2,no decent cars for a couple of years, all of a sudden,2 uk cars have changed hands, and new one imported from france to the uk,and may be soon another to enter the uk.
Talking of 993rs there is a silverstone track day £175 with gold track on the 7th dec,get your cars out before xmas.

just to clarify, the yellow RS was mine and was indeed the Isle of Man car as Vic says.It is an absolutely spotless example and I couldn't have been happier or more impressed with it.I was however presented with an out of the blue opportunity to buy an utterly superb white lhd 15k km 993 GT2 so the RS had to go px.The GT2 is just something else and I've never been more thrilled with a car but letting that RS go still hurt. You'd be very hard pushed to find a better one and I have no axe to grind,I no longer own it or have it there on SOR,it's just really lovely. As for the GT2 it is something else,I'll post more detail on that as soon as I have more time, just a magnificent car.

Wow, what a find, a 15K km 993 GT2. I am very jealous. Well done, sir! Please hurry and post some pics.
