Like as in you can upload a document or paste-in stuff, then fax it over - tho without a fee that is?
For that matter i also wonder if theres a 'text messenging' site to m-phones as well?

www.tpc.int for fax stuff, some parts are free to certain destinations, carries advertising though IIRC to cover costs.

uk.vsms.net(disclaimer: I contract to them sometimes) will do web/email -> sms, but that's also not free.

My company uses software called WriteFax on our laptops, it allows you to send (electronically) a document + attachments direct to a fax machine!! Works very well!!

I've used MightyFax in the past - your PC treats it like another printer.

more like only USA destinations !

for ive tried using it 3 times over the past months an the site doesn't seem to yet reach british fax number addresses

but you'd have thought by now, some company would have offered a decent service an used onscreen adverts to pay its way, as surely it can be that hard for someone to arrange or pay-off bill fees as faxing only costs 5p per dispatch, an a free service would attract tons of users i bet.
in fact you could add a 'txt msg' service as well thru it.

I used it to send to a UK fax number just last week. Are you sure you formatted the number properly etc? (you need to use the international dialling code, but with no leading + or 0)

Try the third variant but without the zero after the 44.

If you are on Vodafone, then you can open a vodafone mail account (vodafone.net) which gives you the ability to send and recieve faxes (you get your own personal fax number) aswell as linking your voice message service and e-mail service together. So you can have your e-mail read to you over your voice message servie and you can download you voice messages onto your PC.

Very handy!

You don't need the leading zero before 20 when dialling the UK from abroad
