Because, having been to every car show in the area since 1997 when I got my first TVR, frankly I'm pretty tired of taking photos of cars, especially sports cars and especially TVRs.

Well, mine is a picture of a bridge - not my fault there was a bloody car in front of me when I took it.

FFS it was about 2:30 am and I was knackered and I'd done a 20 mile reverse run to get back to the thing again. Added about 40 miles total to my journey - but hey, it helped to pass the night. It's not that easy staying awake and taking shots whilst your driving at that time of night you know! I can;t imagine why anyone else would be on the road - but they were.

I suppose I could clone the car out of it but that might spoil the 'composition', such as it is.

The story is there! At least I think it is. The word was that the bridge was built with EU money. From whence the money came to the EU I know not.

HI LongQ, I nearly singled your pic out as the exception as closest to the subject matter and style sought, even if there's no human activity to interest the viewer, but I was taken aback at postcards of the same cars we can see on other threads. Sheesh.

I have just trawled through all the shots I took in the US last year whilst being chauffeured by relatives and friends.

Cars, buildings, roads. No evidence of people that you would notice, other the than odd partial self portrait in the door mirror.

I hadn't noticed that before.

Plenty of people on the streets as we wandered DC though. So folk in the US DO have legs, contrary to popular belief in some quarters.

Closest I could get was a Hells Angel passing us somewhere on a freeway. Somehow it didn't seem to count.

The problem, LA, may be your assumption that PHers sometimes sit in the passenger seating areas.

That is the Toll Bridge on the M1 between Dublin and Belfast isn't it?

If it's not, I'll eat my hat.

Well, CY88, if that was genuinely taken from a moving car it qualifies as DBSs - and a nice abstraction.

Taken from inside a Disco 3 as we went down a steep lane. Just couldn't hold camera still!

It's certainly the bridge - thought the tolls where everywhere along that road, not just the bridge.

Your hat and digestive system are both safe.

Porsche at graham hill bend at brands (not that you'd know its GH Bend!!)

I would have tried to compose the shot better but leaning out of a car at 60 doesn't give much time for thought!

Try one of these as reccommended by tonyhetherington a while back. I bought one today:

Brilliant, playing around with it earlier just snapped these two: (Canon Ixus)
Taken from the wing mirror:

And parked from the door:

Note; This is the only good image from the door. Don't mount it on the door on a muddy day. It took a while to clean

interesting how strong would you say the suction cup on the mount is? i was quite pleased with the shot but would have liked to got more of the track ahead in the picture and im sure this is a way of doing it a bit safer. (not sure the marshals were impressed with my technique!)

any suggestions from anyone as to how i could have improved my shot? (open to any criticism to improve)
