Alright guys, was surfing the lotus website last night and saw that they do factory tours. Anyway just wondered if anyone fancied going to see the tour. They show you the entire process of how they build them, sounds really good. Bad points is that they only run them on Wednesdays, a morning slot of 10:30 or one at 2pm and its £20 a head. Prehaps something we could do next year. Just think of how good the drive would be to get there ! No motorways allowed !!

Sound interesting to anyone ?

Yeah i looked at this earlier in the year, but like all best laid plans, i didn't get round to going. Silly really as i have relations near by. Shame we cant get to blast around Snett too. I guess the pm slot would suit everyone better.

We have been talking about this for a while. We tried to book, way back in July only to be told that the earliest appointment is January. There is a HUGE waiting list. The only things I can suggest is we just all book the first available date and have a nice summer day out or we nag Ameyc to exert his influence with the greats at lotus. I wouldnt ask me to do anything, at the moment I call lotus and then the phon goes quiet and muffeled then a "senior manager" is obtained to chat to me!

so Ameyc

"can we go to the factory tour"
"can we go to the factory tour"
"can we go to the factory tour"
"can we go to the factory tour"
"can we go to the factory tour"
"can we go to the factory tour"
"can we go to the factory tour"

I will see what I can do, when would you all want to go, and how many, roughly speaking?
I can't promise anything, because there is a lot going on in the factory at the moment and they may only want to do the garden variety tour.

You are the man!!!
Lets get crimbo and new years hangovers under control (and contract) Early Feb, I think the capacity is 12 people on the tour, so go for 12!

I am not asking too much am I!

Me, me to. Can i go......

Feb Sounds good. What are the options on a trip up there, i know they do some track activities alongside the tour, From PAX Laps up to the full driver training.

If Lotus possibly were working on a new car to be realesed sometime say next March, Could we get a sneaky peek ,if we went around the time they were showing it at a motorshow somewhere.

But count me in. Oh an Dr Just1 say can she come too.

On the Lotus web site they do a day called scaree yourself sensable for £99 Which includes the factory tour. Seems like a fair whack as you only get 20mins driving time + pax laps with one of the instuctors, Are there other options bespoke to us available, Maybe in our own cars??? If not no worries i still would want to go, and do this if its the only option. I will leave it to Ameyc to see whats posible.

OOOHH NO !!!!!,, I am away on holiday from Feb 4th - March 6th in Autralia. I really want to go so If we could do Wednesday March 8th, that would be amazing as I don’t go back to work until the 9th. If we hold off till March, the weather should be a bit better and we should be able to get the date…..

Oh chris, I nipped into the garage on Saturday, I want the georgous black exige round the back of the showroom, any chance of a straight swap ????

Ask him nicely about getting any new 2005 Exiges on the special deal Lotus were offering.

I already have !!

Owe him a phone call though to say I am going to wait for the late 2006 Exige which sounds awesome. Mainily styling by the sound of it, but a lot more aggresive looking.
