Possible Saggy Purchase
Discussion
Just a few concerns!
I have been used to driving Elises and Exiges for the last several years, and am looking for something different. The two cars in the running are a nearly new Porker GT3, or a new Sagaris.
I have test driven both. Clearly the GT3 is a great car, and I was able to step in and drive it, in the same way one would a 'normal' car, although obviously nowhere near its capabilities yet. It has already suffered early depreciation (nearly £25k in 2 years), and would be the sensible purchase.
I found with only half hour of driving the Sagaris it was rather different. I enjoy driving smoothly, and found this impossible to start with, although getting marginally better within the half hour, mostly due to the pedal arrangement. I am going for a further extended test drive this weekend, but the question is - how long does it take to get used to having never driven a TVR for more than a few miles?
And supposing the Sagaris wins the heart over - what should one be looking for when speccing a new car?
And colour.... We saw a stunning Sagaris at LeMans this year in one of the chameleon colours, but cannot quite remember what the colours were! Any ideas?
Cheers

Driving a Sagaris smoothly...yes it does take some time doesnt it? There is a very direct gear linkage and it takes a while before you train your feet and hands to start smoothing out your changes. The steering wheel is very assisted, so makes it all very darty. Some owners love it, some dont mind it and I well, Im not its biggest fan.
Spec...whatever you want. I think reflex charcoal is easily the best colour and I prefer a simple classic contrast inside. The Carbon leather looks fantastic.
