Electric Ariel !!
Discussion
So spent an hour with me head in the boot trying to get the electric ariel to go up and down after fitting a new CD player, power OK, earth OK, blue trigger wire sending OK.
Gave up and closed the boot, ARIEL OPERATES !!!!
Find a micro switch fitted to the blue wire that operates with the boot catch ! Bl**dy Brill idea !! Is that a TVR fitting or has someone fitted it after ??

Noo, mine has that too. All to do with the rear spolier. If the ariel didnt go down when the boot was opened, the spoiler snap it off.
Yes Daniel as a I said Bl**dy good idea, wish I had thought of it, come to that, wish I had known about it. Looked through the handbook and wire diagram, no mention ahhh the joys of Wedgering

On my car, I also added a switch directly in the ariel feed line (blue wire) so that I could have the stereo on without the ariel up. I mostly listen to CD's, so didn't see any point in having the ariel up whilst not using the radio. I also forgot to lower it when putting the car in the garage a couple of times, so an override switch was quite handy to have.

Good idea - especially for those with huge tail spoilers
