I have heard a Zonda F close up. Awesome... Sounds better than a Ferrari IMO.

There's no way a turbocharged car can sound like that. Most of the best sound cars have NA engine.

The Zonda F press car turned up at the 'ring in october with Mr Pagani and a test driver, after the track had shut we went down to brunchen and it came hammering past, sounded lovely!

That is just incredible!!!

IMO no other road car comes close to that sound. I used to think the Porsche CGT sounded good!

M12 Nathan

I was there that weekend in my E30 M3 with the Warsteiner livery. I spoke to the owner that Pagini is talking to in the pic below. He arrived 1st in the Zonda that briefly held the production lap record and he was waiting for Mr pagini and a German racing driver to bring the latest car to beat the Porsche GT's lap time. Unfortunately we had to leave to catch the ferry that day but I read somewhere recently that they did beat it.

In fact this is the driver getting in the car, it was the latest S or something I think, the 3 of them sounded awesome!

As a funny aside on the day there was a track day on at the ring and the public were not allowed to park their cars inside as it was reserved for the track cars. The pics of Pagini and his cars are to the left of the main gate which was closed and the Zondas were refused entry.

There were some touring cars and loads of porsches on the track day including this UK reg GT

For a joke I got in my car put my helmet on and drove passed the Zondas up to the main gate pipped my horn and the marshall waved me through!! The decals obviously fooled him....

Would it work if I put a Boxster badge on my wagon?

There were a few CSLs there also a Noble with a reg like SPIRIT or something similar. He went out as much as me and can drive a bit too. Everytime I came off the track I went to the front of the queue which was tailed back 2 abreast on the exit and was always let in straight away with no complaints, suppose the decals fooled quite a few people....

Suggest you listen to Michelle Mouton's Groupe B SWB Quattro in the Welsh forests if you want to give your ears an orgasm
