M400 Ring time

I was interested in it's time before I sold mine 
It is a good benchmark of how a car performs, far better than 0-60 or qtr mile or top speed, I'm genuinely interested in how quickly a proper driver can get one round there, I can see it being *very* quick round certain parts of the circuit.
SPR117T - add approx 25-30 seconds to your time to get to the 'ring times quoted by sport auto et al as they use the full circuit rather than bridge to gantry times.

I was interested before too! You don't need an exclusive day to set a time. They tend to be done at the end of a day in a very short window. Couldn't 'Sport Auto' could be convinced to run the car with one of their well practised ring drivers? You are sounding a tad defensive here
Are official ring times bridge to gantry, or the whole circuit? I can never remember.

What's up Dan, my Sunday drive round Bedford got you wondering what it'll do when it's driven properly? 
Going to try some of the Essex style next time !!!
I can't see the M400 being that fast round the ring as, from what I can see, it's very fast for a very long while and the Noble just doesn't seem that fast at those mega speeds. OK on a tight and twisty circuit but not so sure on a more open stretch?

re. the ring, thats what I was wondering too, but after Chris Harris's glowing ring review of the m400 I'd like some cold hard figures for these winter nights spent debating in the pub!
As to driving properly, when I came out the pits behind you, it was clear that your 'sunday drive' was considerably faster than me! I'll concede I may have got a bit more sideways later on though

Nah, I just like comparing ring times of road going cars. I only think they get entirely pointless when its these ridiculous quasi-race cars that seem to hold all the records now.
Washy took me out in his m400 on Sat at Bedford and it was lovely.

Thats bloody quick. How many laps have you done?
I have been to the ring now 6 times & done a total of 90-100 laps (I do aprox 12-18 laps during each time, provided the car stays mechanically sound). However the last time I went in September was the 1st in my noble. All times before were in either a C32 AMG or E36 M3. The best time before the noble was 8.23 in an M3 which I was also very pleased about. These times are actual times not PS2 and were BTG.
If Chris Harris has taken a car to the 'Ring and the weather was reasonable then Chris is more than fast enough to "do a time".
I'd be surprised if a 400 couldn't get into the high 7:40's as standard with the right trackday type tyres.
Although getting the last bit does take some work - I seem to remember someone telling me that Mosler were going to take the record - almost as if it were a formality - over 12 months ago. The silence is deafening!
