Well it had to happen had an off this morning but not sure why!.Approaching a junction at about 10 mph and touched the brakes(drums front/rear so not a grabby disc etc)and next thing on the road.Bikes on its right side with my right foot caught under(strangley pointing to the back of the bike not sure how that happened either?).Couple of schoolboys too their credit helped take some of the weight so I could extract my foot and with great strenght(ok embrassment) I lifted the bike, only a couple of scracthes on the bike.Another chap on a sporty scooter stopped to help so again credit to him scooter boys are ok in my book now.Checked the road no oil, tyres a little wet but again no oil but lots of salt/grit/water mix so I am assuming its this that slipped the front wheel away.So beware of this mixture that is there to prevent us(read cars) from sliding around.Off to nurse my acheing(sp) hip!!!

There is a scary amount of shit on the roads at the moment. Ride in a straight line for 10 miles and look at the state of your visor: The road surface will be about 100 times worse than that.

Drums can grab esp when new and the edges aren't camfered properly.Mine are fine.Checked the bike over again and a slight scruff to the front guard(going to replace anyway)so got off lightly. If the snow arrives I think the bike can have a few days rest as they don't bother to grit the roads around where I live and I live in town(Tonbridge)lazy bastards:curse

Would think about getting that hip x-rayed for any hairline fractures if it continues to ache. Just to be sure.
Sorry to hear about your off.

Disadvantage, when it meets your bones they break instead
