Heater Fan

The heater fan has stopped working on my 93 4.3L Chim,really handy with the current weather conditions.
I have checked the fuse and it is fine, the dash lights are shared on this fuse and they are OK.

Is the fan an easy thing to get to? I must admit I have never seen it, or the heater matrix for that matter!

Anyone else had a similar problem?

My 98 450 developed the same problem, it was the heater control unit.

Mine was fixed under war. at the dealership but the parts took a few weeks and am told was expensive.

Just before it went I had a burning smell then it stopped, it also burnt the wires which had to be fixed.

This is probably the heater control unit. I think it costs around £130 plus the labour to fit it. You will probably find that the wiring is fused to the unit too.
