What would you recommend?
Discussion
Someone I know is thinking of changing up from their current car (Jag XKR). They've got their eye on a Bentley Conti GT, however, I'm going to take them to look at some alternatives.
The ones I've suggested are the M456GTA and a Maser Quattroporte (auto is a must).
Before you ask, a 360/430 is too impractical a 550/575 is too sporty (we are looking at wafters with punch when you need it). A 4200GT doesn't fit the bill either.
The question is, am I being silly recommending a second hand 456 as a suitable daily commuter (fuel cost is not an issue BTW)? The Maser would be nearly new with one of their 3 year warranties so I am less worried about that one, but the Fezza would be 2nd hand (albeit low mileage) and probably from a specialise not a main dealer.
Thoughts appreciated.

Off topic myself! Was yours a highline (mine was pre, with lots of hard to clean but lovely to look at chrome). Munich Legends have 3 at the moment, check out the prices though especially the low milegage Dolphin Grey one! www.munichlegends.co.uk/sales/stock_list.phtml?type=stock

The 456 auto box is nothing to write home about, and while you can certainly use it daily, I can't help feeling that the car's best suited as a high days and holidays car. The QP is very much a daily driver, with plenty of room front and rear, and plenty of poke too. I accosted the owner of one in a local petrol station- very nice chap, mid-50s, who absolutely loved it and found that the cambriocorsa box worked just fine and in fact kept his interest going. Beautiful car, lots of character and very luxurious. I would like one myself but my wife is drawing the line at becoming a 5 car family. She has a point. Not *that* good a point, but a point.
