Musing about chopping in the M5 for a 996 C4S
Discussion
Been hankering after a 911 for a while now and it looks like a nice one might just have come up. But I can't find the specs of this model, so I'm starting my research now...
I've read elsewhere the C4S has more in common with the tt than a C2S, but what exactly am I getting bhp/torque/0-60/max speed wise.
If anyone's got experience of E39 M5s too, would I feel like I've lost all that torque?
Oh, and Hi chaps -- first post on the 911 bit.
Also, how much money wouldI be paying for a lowish mileage tidy 51 plate from an OPC?
Cheers
Andy

I went from an E39 M5 to a 3.6 996 targa. Loved it. My M5 was a pile of dog poo so changing to the porker was fantastic.
M5 big heavy, okish brakes and doesnt corner anywhere near as well as the 996. Ummph is better in the 996 initally but I suspect there would not be much in it on a straight drag. But on a fav b road the 996 is more fun and more reliable than my M5 ever was.
