We have a house that has been extended and is large but retains the original heating system with additional radiators.

The boiler was oversized before extending the house so that's OK but the pump is Myson CP63 130mm length bare DHW pump with 6M head but it isn't man enough to circulate the entire CH system now. Some of the furthest radiators don't even get warm.

The system is purged of all air and is balanced as best as possible.

I don't really want to start changing all the pipework to accomodate a new large commercial CH pump so would like to stick with a 130 pump but with greater head.

Does anyone know where I can get a big mother of a 130 bare pump that is very powerful, say 10M?

Failing this, I may have to open both balancing valves at the pump and then fine tune all the rads to restrict the flow some more to the rads most local to the pump to try and achieve better pressure throughout the entire system.

How many radiators are you circulating? It sounds like the system needs balancing, which may be a problem depending on the point where extentions to it have been made and in what pipe size.....

18 rads in total.

I will try and balance them all and see if that improves things.

I have a feeling they were just added and the plumber didn't bother do anything like that afterwards.
