Iv'e been asked to get a form from the police confirming that Iv'e never been convicted of anything naughty. Has anyone else ever had to get one of these for a job, what are they called?

You need one of those police national computer (PNC) thingies I think. Have no idea why though, do you look suspiciously like a criminal?

Consult with the criminal records bureau or the disclosure service.

Had one done, had to pay £10 for it I think.

it's a CRB police check for working with kids, not sure if they have other ones.

I have to fill one out for my job every year, ive been a naughty boy in the past but nothing recent(i found the best policy is honesty,as it shows up),you can of been in trouble but nothing serious like noncing.

What they are looking for are nonces more than anything and have tightened up since that low life huntley got through the net.

So if I wander down to the local station will the BiBs have a clue what I'm going on about? Or will they arrest me for being a nutter under the POT?

Its whats called a CRB check.

An enhanced one is £34 and a normal one is £28
(we think)

You fill in a form with your name, DOB, previous addresses etc and the CRB check your record and send you a printout which you give to your employers.

Got one completed so that I could be a parent helper with my kids' Beaver troop.

Didn't pay anything for it though...
