Tarting her up

My plan is to get my 3R tarted up.

I need to refurb my alloys.
Repaint the brake callipers.
Tidy up the leather.
Various parts of exterior need repainting, front clam, side skirts, wheel bay.

Anybody else done any of this work/got it done and willing to add pointers, etc?

I've done a couple of blingy bits....

You've got to bare in mind that mine's an old 2.5 so it didn't start with quite as nice a looking engine as the modern ones !!

polished the rocker covers
made up some polished air filter caps
I've just collected a polished front turbo heat shield and a polished fuel tank top.
I painted the intake manifold and am shortly changing the rather brown header tank for a polished ally one !

I'll sort some pics out !

Someone once told me that there's an old Ford Granada aly cover that will fit sweetly over the head. Not really checked it out, but it sounds feasible.

I think this thread has been mis-interpreted.

My question was not to add go faster stripes it's a case of I want to bring the car back to factory perfection, i.e. not change the look in any way.

Just get a good painter by recommendation from friends etc. Can't give you any indication on price but I know some painters who will do a fabulous job for not much money and others who'll do an average job for too much money etc...etc.. Some can do superb 'localised' paintwork whereas others seem to want to paint the whole car for 1 stonechip !! Do plenty of research if, like me you are a bit 'fussy'

There are plenty of trim shops around the country who can sort the leather. The trim shop around the corner from the Noble factory should stock any materials you need if required.

...oh and re: the wheels others may be able to advise from experience of their 3R wheels but so a search on here as I think there are some issues with the fake bolts melting / falling off etc...
