£1000 to do the trailing arms sounds about right - I had that done a couple of years back by Thames Valley Racetech over in Sonning.

Just got mine back from Moore Racing a top job done and very quick too, but it's a bit of a pain getting to MK from over this way (Bracknell). Richard will keep the cost down by replacing what needs to without removing the body and whoever his welder is he is a genius.

The v8 centre in Wycombe also are highly recommended but you will probably have to wait a bit as when I went round in October they told me they were completely booked out for at least a month. They'll strip the whole car down to a bare chassis - jig it and then repair and put it all back together. More expensive than Moore racing but then again possibly a more thorough job.

I heard that Tower View can repair trailing arms.

I had the same problem on my S and was quoted around £200 each arm by someone in Coventry. I think it may have been Steve Reid or Simply TVR. I remember it was from an advert in Sprint.

In the end I had a friendly engineer make a jig and them rebuild them for me. It's great to have friendly suppliers!!

I hope you get them sorted but would not advise driving until then. Mine only had a minor crack until I starting digging. I thought (hoped) it was just flaking paint but it turned into a fair crack once I had played amateur dentist.

Could you do it your self?
I did the chassis on mine a couple of years ago and it wasnt to bad if you have the room to keep all the bits. The trailing arms should be easy to fit(subject to siezed bolts etc) but you'll need a four wheel alignement afterwards. Most garages should be able to help with the alighnment if you supply some shims.
Im pretty close to you in Thatcham so if you need help/pics etc.

I Probably wont have time soon, but are you going to the berks meeting or xmas do. Mine is sornd at the moment as after spending many thousands of £'s and hours on the chassis I cant bear to get salt on it.
Good opertunity to have the wheels refurbished though.

I had a trailing arm re-furbed by Adrian Venn in Coventry a few months back (details on here somewhere). Top job c.£180

The good thing with a re-furb is that you can bolt it straight back on and geometry should be un-affected.

Turnaround was also very quick.
