How ridiculous is this!
About 6 weeks ago I was driving behind a colleague on our way to Bad Soden (close by Frankfurt) as we were going to visit someone. When we arrived at our destination street there was no parking. We drove to the top of the street into a narrow country like lane. At the end of the lane was a sign in German which said words to the effect of "No entry beyond this point, farm traffic only". OK fine we cant park here, so we drove in past the sign as there was a large area to turn and back we went to the street and found some spaces.
Now 6 weeks later we both get letters from Bad Soden council telling us that we were reported by someone for crossing the line. We both have a fine of 10€ each.
IS this not the most insane thing you have ever heard?
What a w*nker. But at least the council gave us the name of the reporter...

Just to give you an implication of how perverted the minds of some germans can be:
In my village we have an old fogey (even older than me) who used to work for the police in their office, so he thinks he's a policeman. Mind you he's so feckin thick he couldn't even make the german police. Now whether you know it or not, it is illegal to mow your lawn in germany on a sunday or use a hedge trimmer etc. So this bonehead walks around the village on sundays looking for people who are working in their gardens and has brought charges against various people with the support of his old employers.......
Also brought charges against someone whose hedge was growing too high, the tw@ walks around with a folding joiners measure in his pocket.
So it seems deester that you got that type of w*nker who is always peering out behind his lace curtains....
DON'T try to fight it, it's not worth it, pay the €10 and grit your teeth...........and I'm not saying you should throw a brick through the guys window either! better to use a sewage truck on his garden...............

What would happen if you mowed his lawn on a sunday? *pauses* *resists questions about trimming bushes on a sunday*

That is insane!
I am going to fill his mail box with horse shit.
I once drove down a road in a certain SW London Town, it turned out to be a dead end with a police station at the end.
There was a sign that read "NO PARKING, NO TURNING, NO REVERSING!"
I was unsure what to do so I put the Griffith in 1st, turned the wheel on full lock, gave it about 4000rpm and dropped the clutch... I suppose theoretically it was "turning" but seemed the best option at the time!
