MORE 968 advice please
Discussion
recently posted a thread regarding my brothers mis-guide love for his J-reg 968 cab.
He's decided to ignore all the kind advice from you knowing gentlemen and now wants to replace the soft-top.
He got a quote from Porsche.....wait for it.....£6800!!!
He has found a guy in the States who does them for £300....sounds too little to me...
Just wondered if anyone has any contacts/advice/experience that he can use (and then probably ignore)! Thanks

Had mine done at southbound motor trimmers in and they did a great job of supply and fit including the lining and a replacement hood motor on one side. In the end it worked out a little shy of 2 grand but that included 350 squid fo a new tonnau (is that how you spell it?)

not tried them myself but they always crop up when hoods are mentioned on this site.

This is a great time to buy aftermarket stuff from the States. The pounds is rqual to about 1.7 dollars, so any sum quoted here you cam almost half, and add a bit for custom's tax. It will still be far cheaper than buying in the UK. (Fitting in the UK needs a tame trimmer.)
This is going to sound(definitely) like a silly question, but is there any difference between the hood for a rhd or a lhd.....Im thinking motors/electrics/wiring......or am I trying to complicate things ?
