Which Perfume?
Discussion
Sorry to dispel the myth that I am some sort of macho male
I have come to the conclusion that I am going to blow some proper bucks on my lady for Chrimbo, I've decided that like fine wines perfume is a thing for those with a trained nose for quality, being a plebian petrolhead, I can't see her ladyship being impressed with a quart of Castrol R
or some carb cleaner to spray on her corpse, she is a lady of distinction and as far as all things perfume are concerned, I am a complete idiot, as a chemist, I am likely to find argos eau de 2,6,4 tetramethyl-tertiarybutyl sulphone-ether a nasal feast which she will find repugnant, I ask you with tuned noses to have a think about how my wallet could please her nostrils, apart from giving her the smell of my own cash.
Chaps and Chapesses, fire away.

Depends what she likes - does she prefer something lighter (florals etc) or something a little heavier (musky) Some women (below about 35) prefer not to wear the heavier fragrances as it can make them feel old (for me personally I can only wear heavier perfumes when I'm all dressed up as it doesn't compliment everyday clothes) Some fragrances are the classic ones, well blended and always will be timeless classics - we are talking 1940's and earlier - or others which are made by relatively new fashion houses to boost flagging sales or to use as a marketing ploy.
Right, down to business:
Classic - Nina Ricci - L'air du temps (lovely and very classic) Chanel No. 5 Chanel Chance (relatively new but beatiful and will be a classic) Clinique Happy
New yet still very very good - Carolina Herrera - 212/212 sexy. Ralph Lauren - Romance. Cacherel - Noa. Kenzo Flower
Think thats all - hope its helped
NEVER buy anything your mother, her mother or your ex wears or has ever worn...This is the golden rule

Perfume? We all smell differently. Und perfume react differently on skins.
Chanel, Lavender based "day" perfume, Jasmine, orange blossom, some local Lakeland colognes all work for me - but ist a personal thing as others have said/
Sometimes simplest ist best. Drop some hints as to fave fragrances in conversation. We wimmin like to have right allure

Again, very nice indeed. One of my work colleagues wears this perfume although I've yet to try it on myself.
Hemmmmmmm you see it depends on her though. What I tend to do is as a suprise little pressie out of the blue give the mrs one of those selection packs of 5 o 6 different bottles, there tiny little bottles which she likes cause they're hand bag sized, it's easy to spot the fav because that little bottle runs out first. Then ta da come xmas day a full sized bottle of the fav turns up.
Your alternative is to put her in close proximity to a perfume counter and see what she tried and likes. Y'seee the problem is that it's not even as though the same perfume smells good on every woman, who knows why but it really does seem that it reacts with the individual sent of you girlie and may or may not compliment it. That's why it's so important to get her to try it on her skin first.
Hence.....the little pack of trial bottles that'll get you browny points meantime
Btw I did this yesterday, she's all pleased because out of the blue I gave her 6 mini perfumes "oh these are perfect because they're handbag sized" and when I got in this evening she was wearing one, I asked what it was....... they you go sorted, a bottle of 'Givenchy Organza"
