VHS to DVD via my PC
Discussion
I've got a bunch of old music videos (maybe 50 hours worth) that I collected for years as a kid via MTV. I'd like to stick them on the computer and make DVDs of the best of them. What's the cheapest/easiest solution? I have a decent PC & HDD (P4 3.0 and 300gb). My graphics card is good, but doesn't have video in, just video out (an RCA jack).

Standalone DVD recorders are now so cheap (£95 inc VAT at Novatech) it is worth it for the no-hassle factor - connect video & audio out of the VCR to video & audio in of the DVD recorder, load media, hit record on one and play on the other and go and have a beer.
I would have thought getting a dvd recorder and linking them together would do the job, but I presume you want to use your pc's burner.
In contrast, it is a world of pain, hassles, software incompatibilities, hoops to jump through, etc. etc. to do it on the PC.
