The difference is huge. Not only does it sound fantastic but the engine just seems to have more torque.

Well done! Larini promised it would add midrange torque. You have saved over 12kg as well and now it sounds like a sports car. Sorry you had to wait so long. Nice to hear something positive after the group buy. I thought I was the only one.

You're right about the weight saving. I had a Lotus Sport stage 1 previously and it weighed a lot more than the Larini.

Glad to hear the 111R orders are coming through with positive reports! Andy (drac) will be dying to get his on... it finally ships on monday (was waiting on sports cat).

Mine's been on my S1 now for a week and a half.... including one trackday where the noise made it the star of the show and the performance gain helped it to second best time of the day... beaten only by an S2 Exige!

hi Phil glad to hear your zorst is fitted.

Please could you post or email me pics/sound files. Did you get the sports cat as well? I've waiting 8wks. I move house in 2wks. Just my luck that it will going missing in the post.

Those pics etc may be the only larini exhaust on a 111R that i get to see/hear this year!

George good to year you mate, you've been a bit quiet. Do you know ny exhaust is shippng on Monday? Hope so!

I'll take some pics today and a sound clip, but I'll need somebody to host them.

Bell & Colvill fitted it and said it was a simple bolt on job, all done within an hour. Cost me just shy of £100 but at least I know it's been fitted properly. I only got the back box not the pipe, but I'm soooo pleased with just the 'zorst that I'm not sure I need anything else. I was a bit hesitant about the extra noise at motorway cruises, however it's not at all intrusive. Certainly no more than the previous Lotus Stage 1

It pops on the over run as well... think I'll be spending all day driving around multi stotey car parks with the windows down.

Now you 111R guys want to get a group buy going on the Larini sports cat as well. I was amazed at the difference that made. Lovely bit of kit.

Depends which engine you have - apparently increases bhp on the yota, but may actually decrease bhp on certain k-series models that like a bit of back pressure. Had a long discussion about this with Steve from Brooke-Kensington and he reckoned it wasn't worth it except for the sound. That sort of put me off this for the moment. Depending on the zorst, it could spell certain problems with the track noise police.

Perhaps that's why I said 111R owners!

The Toyota lump certainly spins up much better with the Larini Sports Cat, and there appears to be a noticiable power (and thus torque) gain.

Whilst I can't quantify the exact improvement, mpg is certainly up as well.

Noise wise, don't believe it's any different from just having the sports zorst fitted.

How much was the Larini for the 111R, I'm guessing you know the discounted price, but if you know the full price, that would be appreciated too

I can vouch that on standard K, in an S1 a full system gives a marked increase in bhp

Doesn't matter what the figures are, there's a marked improvement in the power delivery. Could be more bhp or more torque or just a more even spread over the rev range.

I spent two grand on a prodrive performance pack for my scooby many years ago and had was happy with the improvement. If a couple of hundred quid on an elise zorst gives the same grin factor I'm happy.

Sorry jedm - you did say 111r owners - maybe I should wear my glasses more often! I read my own post and must have been asleep when I wrote it. I was specifically referring to the sport cat - sorry Towser - not referring to the back box. Simon was positive about both exhausts and to a lesser extent the manifolds. He just felt that for a k-series a sport cat wasn't worth the money. For the yota engine, the data seems to suggest that the entire standard system right from manifold is restrictive and may not be getting the most either in power or torque figures.

Power figures aside, the Larini was the best thing that I have put on the car so far - no more tinny rover sound!
