Paul...yes, he ran into a bank.
Re the insurance, he put it on a flat-bed, took 20kms away where he put it in a likely spot. He said he's had fully comp. Aston insurance for over 10 years without claiming so why not?
As far as damage goes, I think it was more than it first seems as it was leaking steering fluid too.
Martin.

And his premiums still probably don't cover that damage. Fraud just puts up the prices for everyone else
Still, if he gets caught he'll never get insured again

Spot on Dan. Its basturds like that that make us all pay. What amazed me after my being rammed during the race at Brands Hatch was that more than one person came up to me and asked where I was going to have the car flatbedded to before calling the insurers. If people think you'd get away with it with a stickered and roll caged car in full view of hundreds of spectators I'm not suprised people try it on from track days.

Dom.
Dom,

Pero, mi silencio esta muy caro. Martin.

Martin,
Oh yes, didn't spot this bit, he said he'd had 10 unblemished years. This is a guy planning to defraud us all. Who's to beleive anything he says?
As I said its (lying) basturds like him that make us all suffer.

i work for a company that specialises in trackday insurance - both cars and bikes.
if anyone can help identify this guy, please contact me!
although the loss will not have affected our statistics (assuming he got away with the fraud?) we will do everything we can to make trackday insurance more available and affordable to all.
it is not the same as road insurance and they are different insurers, with different policy wordings and claims procedures but it is still in our interests to expose these guys. they cost us all a lot of money!!
drive/ride safely.

I had a big claim on TD insurance a few months back, and am wondering if I need to declare the loss next time I re-new both my "work" car and the Noble?
Your statement above makes me think I need not say anything.
But I don't want to lie or cheat or run the risk of having a payout denied.
Whats my situation.
ps. It was a 1 off £50 one day policy only.
Thx Greg
