There is an advert in Saturdays EDP for www.sebringinternational.co.uk
They are offering TVR sales, service and repairs. I popped round this afternoon and sure enough they have a showroom full of TVRs. Anyone had any dealings with them yet?

Ian, If you are still on the lookout for a Tuscan for Xmas, they had three in their shop. None in my favorite colours though, just as well!

I popped in a few weeks ago as I travel through this way quite often. They had a good choice of cars in at that stage. Spoke to the women in the office and she told me that they had taken on another mechanic to cover the TVR's. Don't know where from so no known history I,m afraid. Have to see how they fair I suppose. Think I'll stick with Offord's or similar until I know more.

There was a guy about a year ago who was going to put a SP6 lump into a Sebring Healey replica .. wonder if this is something that's grown out of that partnership...

Found it today and had a chat with the TVR mechanic who it turns out I know through other TVR locals who have used him. Matt is very knowlegeable and used to work at TVR Brundle before they lost the dealership. I`d have no hesitation in using them.

Had a sit in a Tuscan while there today

I wish them luck.

Ian,

Please don't mention Bundle's (bast*rds). I have more reason than most to hate them. I also believe they had a very bad reputation for servicing including charging for work that either didn,t need doing (tried this with me)or wasn't done.
And calm !

OK I won`t mention the "B" word again but Matt personally has a good reputation amongst a few TVR owners close to me as he has done work for them in the past.

Sebring have been around a few years in that location (Three Holes). I moved away from
Upwell in 1997 & they came around then. So reasonably stable unlike a lot of
kit car places. Had a chat with them at a Kit Car exhibition a few years
ago and seemed quite knowledgeable.

I welcome having another indie in our region to choose from. Currently I pay ~£800 for a service (and random replacements) and still spend the following weekend finishing of the bits that have been missed or messed up.

Just had a look at their website. The orange sagaris, is that TMS`s ex demo car?
Wish them every success, and will have a ride over tomorrow to have a look.Only about 20 mile from me, so ideal.

Nigel, when driving there, if you start to get the feeling you must have gone too far, carry on a bit further as it`s out a bit!

Blimey, looks like the somewhat-less-than-optimal reputation of the "B" entity up in that direction has lasted well beyond their loss of the TVR franchise.

It's been a while, but I still shudder when I hear the "B" word myself.

Marshy & Ian, any chance one of you could PM me some more details as I'm a little confused. I'm presuming theres a reason you wouldnlt recommend Sebring and if poss I'd like to know why as I'm considering using them for my 12k service in a couple of months time.

Cheers
Tony

No no, my comment wasn't about Sebring at all... just a previous dealer up that way.
