Has anyone used T cut or Merr on their cars...

I'd like to lift some scuffs off the Griff and then give it a really good finish (hence the Merr) but despite the promises on the packs I'm still a little apprehensive about marking the bodywork.

Any input would be appreciated...

Cheers

I wouldnt use mer or t-cut,if you want to lift out small scratches and swirl marks then use 3Ms hand compound and hand glaze.I found mer to be to abrasive and leave a terrible finish.T-cut also has ammonia in its ingredient and after a while is corrosive of the paint. After using the 3Ms products you can use autoglym super resin polish to seal the finish

I'm happy with T-Cut and polish - but my car is silver so any minor differences don't show up. I'm sure it would be more critical on a darker colour though.

For scratches, scuff marks etc. I use T-cut then finish with Merr and have never had any problems (Starmist Green). An interesting point about the ammonia in the T-cut though.

Cheers,

Simon.
