Found myself watching TV in the middle of the night, and caught a feature on Chris Rea. Spotted what looked like a 350 in red with matching wheels used as promotion/featured in one of his videos. Had reg. mark TVR 22.
Anyone know where this car is now? Were there several in this colour scheme? Seems similar to the cheap 350 for sale on ebay - could it be the same car?

According to the RAC website,
www.rac.co.uk/web/carbuying/vehicle_data_search/
TVR 22 was on a 1996 yellow Griff, last owner change Mar 1999.
This is confirmed by the DVLA site,
www.vehiclelicence.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/
(select Vehicle Enquiry) which says that it currently on a yellow TVR.

Yes, its a sunset pearl yellow Griff - Simon and Ann Lunn - believe they are south yorks. The car is nicknamed Bumble. They bought it in March 1999.
Martin Lilley bought the plate which was orignally on a Standard 10 (whatever that is). The plate has been on everything from M's to Tasmins and probably beyond. Simon and Ann bought the plate from Sprint.
All of the above is in "The TVR Griffith Story" book - I am not a sado but I do know Ann and Simon.

Simon and Ann bought the car (Firecrest Yellow Griff 500 aka Growley now rechristened Bumble!!) from us! However we had it registered as B1DEE, won best modern car at the concours at TVR Mania 97 and TVR Scotland 98, and was 20 months of fun. We were the third owners the first two having spun it and got scared and chopped it in for Chimaera's!! We are really pleased it went to such great new owners.
The plate TVR22 was owned by the factory and then Stewart Halstead (ex TVR director) and his wife (carole Newton formerly Martin Lilley's secretary). The Halsteads had the plate for many years after leaving TVR and eventually it got sold and now belongs to Simon and Ann.
TVR22 was used on serveral press cars along with the infamous TVR100
Hope that helps
