Front caliper hose fittings

Got the front suspension down at the moment for wishbone overhaul, and to replace the brake hoses with Goodridge braided. Noticed that the OE TVR hoses have a female chamfered counterbore to the caliper threaded end as does the bottom of the caliper hole.
The Goodridge have a male chamfer as I would have expected, to match the female caliper fiting. The OE hose must have only sealed around the nose of the threaded portion of the hose, not seen this before, is this a 'universal' type end fitting for male/female or what? Just curious.

Those hose fittings sound entirely wrong to me? are you sure the originals are original? I can't confirm what fitting type is/was on mine cos I haven't touched them as there were already Goodridge hoses fitted.Either way the Goodridge's are the correct way to go....

These are my winter jobs too. Let me know how difficult you find it will you. And if you get a chance to photograph anything will you send anything you get over to me. Every little helps.
Have you thought about installing the Steve Heath Rose ARB's? I'm thinking about doing them at the same time.
