Looks like I've had a stone or similar sharp object getting caught in the pulleys for my alternator belt.

It's cut about a quarter of an inch off my belt, and it looks like the bit that came off has damaged the heat shield and done untold other damage. It still runs ok, but its off to Racing Green tonight for a once over.

That'll be my comeuppance for laughing at Vixpy at BTaP...

I turns out it was a clip on a hose. The belt stratched just enough to toucht he clip and that cut into it.

Didn't cause any internal damage, looks like even the heat shield is ok. A cheap one for a change!
