Right, so passed my test last week & am getting a bike around March time, but really don't want to do nothing inbetween & was wondering what options are available.

I was thinking of just continuing lessons with the training school, but are there better options available ?

Problem is I don't have my own bike as at present I have no-where to put it (building somewhere after christmas).

Hmm, tricky one.

Your training school might let you hire one of their bikes for practice. However, why don't you get a cheap old bike as a winter hack? For a few hundred quid, you can park it on the street without stressing over its potential loss or rust. Then you can:
- Do some winter riding, polishing your skills before trundling out the R6
- Weather permitting, start those advanced lessons on the winter hack, further preparing you for a brilliant summer's riding
- Avoid going mega-rusty before leaping on that shiny new bike
- Start building your No Claims immediately

I had a small bike for a year, which I rode right thru winter before moving up. Not the same as a big bike, but still really beneficial experience in the bank.
