I think the 15 inch oz's are too small for the 400 and i fitted 17 inch borbet C-type alloys which i had from my previous 350i. As 16 inch oz's are rare and expensive, do you guy's recon this is a good option? I'm fitting spacers (very good ones) to bring them out more and fit 235 back and 215 front instead of 205 allround. Please say so if you don't ... And please say nothing if you come from Alphen a/d Rijn

The photo's don't show them as good i would like, but these are the only ones i got.

Hi Bernard, well I think the Borbet's look better on the 400 than the 350, particularly from the aerial shot. IMHO they will never look as good as a set or OZ split rims, even though 15" really does restrict your choice of performance tyres these days. I assume that you need to use spacers because the Borbets are only 7" wide, or is the offset different between the 350 and 400? If its the former, I'd stay with the original 8 (or 8.5) x 15's. I suppose in an ideal world the 16 x 9's would be the way to go, but I don't think they work on the front, and then you're stuck with different tyre sizes at each end.

Hi Bernard, I have a spare set of 16" six spoke Cerb wheels which look pretty similar to the Borbets. They can be modified on their PCD for wedge use. They are surplus because I just got another set which have slicks on...

By the way, give Gunmetal a kick and tell him to reply to my emails!

Nice Bern, modern wheels do look better on the more modern Wedges. BUT you dont buy a Wedge to drive a modern looking car. Two ways of looking at it

Looks good but note that the originals were 225 all round. What width of rim have you got?

They are 7,5 inch wide so 235 will fit, and i've got enough space but the wheels need to come out more. Another thing i like about the borbets is that the diameter is lager so it has lifted the car a little and i can now get over speedbumps without hitting the exhaust... I think i'll fit the borbets and if i get bored (or molested) i can always put the oz's back on! In the meanwhile i'll start looking and saving for 16 inch oz's. Roger, thanks for the offer but i think i'll stick with these two sets.

Thanks for the opinions!!
