Choosing a frequent flyer program?
Discussion
If you are making a lot of flights, at least one a week if not more to mainly Europe, sometimes California and Mexico and company policy is to go with the cheapest flight, so many different carriers, how do you choose a good frequent flyer benefit programme?
Flights mainly out of Heathrow.

I agree but don't forget that there are a number of alliances between airlines that mean you can get one card to cover 4 or 5 airlines (e.g. OneWorld and Star Alliance) and some hotels and hir car companies as well.
It's bit of a minefield but a little effort can reap big rewards if you fly that often.
Also, some of the cheaper tickets don't qualify for airmiles so be prepared for that.

Cheapest flight, every week to Mexico and California??? That is harsh. I'd be looking for a new job rather than a new frequent flyer programme.
I'm back to silver as well. Mind you,. been using my points to do the transatlantic hops recently. Going back to US on the 18th, so back to schipol for me! I had 780,000 points at one point! Used them all up for charity, silly flights here there and everywhere, and for business class longe tickets for mates and relatives!
