Has anyone else noticed the voltmeter on this car along with a rather hot temperature reading? Not ideal I would think when you are trying to sell it?

Does anyone else have the voltmeter on their car?

I'd be more worried about zero oil pressure & no revs......come to think of it, I reckon the engine is turned off & the temp guage is knackered

Yeh and if the ignition was on to show it, it would have lights on. PRob just simple its broke, unless the rev and oil is broke aswell an its actually at 7000rpm

Just to be smarty-pants, the temp gauge is mechanical (on my car too anyway) so continues to display until the engine cools down.

Nice coulour though...

But it's left hand drive, so for anyone with suitably deep pockets who doesn't want to drive a right hooker on the continent that's good value, probably a fraction of conversion costs too .. only 4 built remember so if you want a left hooker you'd be expected to pay for it ..

edited to add it's 70k Km anyway

47000 miles. My eyes dont work.

(All those top shelf mags)

Still think its over priced though, even if it is LH drive. Think I'd put up with a RH one.

The voltmeter would be useful though, ideal place for it instead of that useless vent.

Wonder where one could get such a meter, with the correct bezel and scale?

Andy.

It's took me two years to realise that the vent also acts as the demister for the drivers side window.

Andy please see this thread www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?t=224395&f=6&h=0 not sure that's a useless vent especially in the summer.
i'm going to get the OIL TEMP guage, and maybe some others, voltmeter?

I'm looking at taking the clock out - as i've a watch and my phone has one on too. :he he:

Voltmeter would be very handy. You can spot a dying battery or poorly alternator alot quicker with one. Stops alot of the headscratching if your car suddenly dies on you.

I'm going to get an oil temp guage and voltmeter and mount them together in the stereo cubbly hole similar to what one of the other PH'ers has done. I'll leave the clock in though for the time being as I'm not sure how the cappilary tube would be routed for the oil temp guage in that position, but I take your point Dean!
