Hi 911fan, welcome to the club, I'm on my first as well.

Try Performance Marque on 0121 248 0911, they do a scheme for members of Porsche Club Great Britain which includes fully comp cover on Porsche Club trackdays.

As an indication I'm 33 on 3 points and they are charging me £2,650 for a 996 turbo 450bhp. This includes Protected NCB, weighting for the factory power upgrade, weighting for a crappy area and 30days fully comp in europe. In my instance they did insist on garaging at night and a tracking system though.

Ordinarily you would get away with £1,000 less as they don't like turbos, but your 9 points may lead to a 25% weighting on the basic premium.

Of the direct companies I had an incredible quote from tesco but they refused to honour it as I had nothing in writing and the "individual" has since left the company. Let us know hpow you get on.

I have just renewed and got my cheapest premium for four years thru Budget Insurance Services (broker - 08705 845050) who managed £1,490 with Churchhill. I'm 39, clean licence but living in a "bad" area. £700 cheaper than "Performance" who admittedely had been getting me the best quotes for the last few years. Shopping around is the name of the game.

just renewed my insurance on my GT3. Was paying £2,600, (just one SP30). Was quoted £2,900 by my existing insurer. Got that down to £1,689 through Norwich Union Direct 0800 092 3626. (£520 excess, protected no claims bonus, european cover, full legal cover, courtesy car etc..) I'm 36, live in Central London full no claims.
