James May likes 'Gristle?
Discussion
Was at a dinner last Fri at which James May ("the other bloke off Top Gear" as he constantly referred to himself) was speaking.
Decent chap, and came to the bar with those sticking around for a drink after - and was still there when I left after 2am!
Chatted to him about lots of car and TG stuff, including asking him why he wasn't keen on TVR's.
He admitted it's because they're a bit too basic and difficult to drive, hence why he prefers a relatively easy car like the Boxter he recently bought.
He did then say that he quite liked the Sag he had recently driven.
Can any further evidence be needed that the Saggy is the most Mondeo-like TVR ever produced?

Mmmmm
I get the feeling this thread is purely to wind up one particular person on the forum
Good luck, but expect the extended hand to get bitten

Now I like James May. He is funny, articulate and actually knows what he is talking about and a huuuuuuuge plus he knows when to admit he hadnt a clue about something.
I think he has great taste in cars, and an appreciation of class, style and sense of occasion...things that JC and the Hamster often fall down on. If he likes the Sagaris then great, just confirms the car has style, class, taste and ticks the sense of occasion box. My sort of chap and Im with him on the Boxster also, already told Dad that Ill probably buy his off him in 3yrs to replace the 'Gris.

I'd agree that James is the best presenter on TG. Tells it how it is, not bothered about tearing the tyres off the rims and offers a nice articulate review of the cars he tests.
Hamster went up in my estimation when he bought the Charger. Shame he sold it on so fast - for a Morgan as well...!
Jezza is just Jezza but his humour keeps things patched together well.
I'd love to join in one of the barneys they have in the pub...!!!

I would loved to have joined in with that threesome they had t'other night.
Talk about bringing traffic to a standstill....although they can stick the drive through Paris.
Bl**dy nightmare being a pedestrian in the centre of Paris let alone driving three supercars round the Arc De Triomphe.

James May said that he does read Pistonheads - I'm beginning to suspect he IS DJC
Suddenly it all makes sense
Aaaaaggghh, I see it all now - how did he fool us for so long!!!!
DJC, time to come into the spotlight and own up!!!!
Hmm, well er...I do share his taste in cars I suppose!
Nobody has ever compared me to James May before though! My complete lack of dress sense is more JC and my say what I think come hell or high water, more LJKS. Oh and I have shortish hair.
