Electrical/Fuel Pump Problems

Recently parked car all fine. Went to start car with no joy! Turned over but did not fire.

Cannot hear fule pump prime? Checked inertia switch under passenger well ok had not activated.

Checked wires on pump ok.

Checked 20Amp pump fuse ok.

Alarm appears to be working ok - red lamps go out when key is activated.

Have however found that both relays i.e. the fuel pump and ECU do not click when the ignition is turned on. I believe these are the two loose silver relays?

Any one got any idears before I push the car onto the street and get the good old insurance recovery man to deliver the car to the nearest TVR dealer which is approx 80 miles away.

Try swapping the two loose relays, if you can hear the pump prime you have a duff one.

Or replace the fuel pump relay with any other spare relay you happen to find laying around in the area. If you do this, just remember to take it out of the socket when you get to your destination, or you'll have a flat battery in a few hours time.
