hp warranty

i've got 12 hp compaq nx5000 laptops that are about 14 months old. one had its backlight go and was repaired a week ago and as they only have 1 year warranty it cost over £ 300.

now 2 more have gone and im now v concerned they'll all go.

do i have a leg to stand on if i ring hp or will they just quote 1 year warranty to me? its a bit shite if they all go at £ 300 each after only a year? any ideas?

You could try the "Sale of Goods" thing - goods should be fit for the purpose intended and should last a reasonable length of time, irrespective of the length of the warranty.
