Hope you guys can help me. I went to a show at the NEC a few years back (2001-2003). It was in the spring time as I remember, and had car clubs, and manufacturers there. There were also a set of cars you could pay for a pax ride in, for charity: counting amoungst them a purple Lambo (that had a damaged door by the end of the weekend) a very scary Cobra, and a Porche whose driver knew how to brake and scared the out of all the pax he took out.

I know the TVR wedge owners club was there, Ginetta made a good showing, along with Toyota.

It was a sports car only show, and was really well done (if not enough showing from manufacturers), felt very friendly, and didn't have the Max Power crew there.

Can anybody shed any light on what the event was called, or point to any URLs that may have some more info on it?

It was a good show.

I attended a couple of years running, they had an excellent selection of cars.

And being a passenger in an XJ220 on the dual carriageways of Birmingham was just 'wow'
The sporting bears charity had an amazing selection of cars to ride in.

Ah yes, that's it - I remember the Noble M12 being advertised as an M10 before hand - that car was the only reason I went now I come to think of it.

Thanks for the help finding it!

I'll go and see if they have anything planned for 2006/7, like I said it was one of the best shows I've been to there, not a huge turnout of exhibitors, but the atmosphere was really good. And I met the Ginetta G4 there

Let me know if you find out that there is another one planned as we thoroughly enjoyed it. That's where Barry fell in love with the Noble.

No signs of a repeat yet, but Sporting Bears are still about.
It seems to have been overtaken by the Autosport show
