Tuscan v The British Weather
Discussion
I am about to buy my dream car (2001 model), and before doing so would like some advice? I live in the middle of nowhere and I don't have a garage. I will be keeping the car on the drive under a cover. Most tuscan owners put their pride and joy indoors, but I am not worried about the security aspect of this. Does anyone else leave theirs outside and if so what problems have you incurred? Any advice on this matter would be gratefully appreciated.

which may give you some ideas. Plenty of other threads on this topic as well which should guide you. Keeping outside is not necessarily a problem at all, excepting possible leaks, car-keying idiots and bloody cats!!

my other halfs Tuscan lives outdoors and gets used daily in all weather (20K miles per year)- no probs at all. My Elise does the same (20K miles per year) - we just use them like 'normal' cars...other than a good wash/jet wash underneath every week or 2 in the winter I wouldnt worry about it.
If you are going to leave it a few days when expecting snow etc, then a car cover is useful...more for ease of clearing it off quick/defrosting than anything

Mine lived outside all the time.
The only problem i ever had was when it was frosty the window would not come down when you opened the door were it had become frozen shut. I always thought the glass would break when the door popped open but luckily this never happened as i started to pour warm water around the top of the door once i found out that the window froze shut.
